中国河北省，环绕北京，拥有众多钢铁厂，唐山市也位于该省。唐山市每年生产约一亿三千万公吨钢铁，比美国的总产量还高。要管理如此高产能的工厂，人们会认为工厂经理首先需要解决设备（和生产）的维护问题。但事实并非如此。实际上穆格在河北省沟通过的大多数工厂都未进行预防性维护，他们对阀或维修问题都没有深入的认识。

Hebei province of China, which encircles Beijing, is home to a number of steel mills and the city of Tangshan. Tangshan produces approximately 130 million metric tons of steel each year, more than the total output of the United States. With production levels like this, one would think maintaining equipment (and production) was high atop plant managers' list of activities. But it's not. In fact, most of the plants Moog has spoken to in Hebei province do not conduct preventative maintenance. And they don't have a deep understanding of valve issues or repair, either. 

而且这里大部分的私营钢铁厂的技术人员都比较年轻,对穆格伺服阀及其维修也都不甚了解，意味着他们的生产设备极其需要现场诊断和维修。为了提高维护和阀维修的技术水平，穆格最近测试了一个新的快速响应服务程序，用以改进与中国钢铁行业客户的沟通和关系。通过现场检验服务(On Site Inspection Service, OSIS)，穆格中国致力于为使用穆格伺服阀的钢铁厂提供全天候服务响应、现场检查、诊断、小规模故障排除、风险预防培训和维护咨询服务。加载了OSIS服务的定制化卡车能够快速到达请求服务的钢铁厂。

In fact, private steel mills in Hebei province have few technicians, which means there is a genuine need in these facilities for on-site diagnosis and repair. To improve the level of know-how about maintenance and valve repair, Moog recently tested a new, rapid response service program to improve its communications and relationships with its customers in China's steel industry. Through the On Site Inspection Service (OSIS), Moog China aims to deliver around-the-clock response, on-site checks, diagnostics, small-scale troubleshooting, risk-prevention training and insight for steel mills that use Moog's servo valves. The OSIS operates from a customized truck capable of quickly reaching steel mills that call for service.

去年年底，穆格用5天的时间在河北省的钢铁厂进行了OSIS概念巡回测试。穆格的OSIS团队包括技术人员、分销商和销售经理，他们和钢铁厂的员工及经理共同探讨了维修和培训人员的事宜。5天巡回测试的成功为穆格提供了一个在中国其它钢铁厂高度聚集区域提供同类现场诊断和维修服务的平台。

Late last year, Moog tested the OSIS concept by touring steel plants in Hebei province over five days. Moog's OSIS team, which included technicians, distributors and sales managers, met with steel mill employees and managers to discuss maintenance and train personnel at the factories. The success of the five-day tour has given Moog a platform for launching similar on-site diagnosis and repair services in other regions of China with a high concentration of steel mills.

现在，OSIS是穆格在中国提供的标准服务之一，穆格的代理商会首先响应OSIS服务的请求。OSIS服务卡车将作为穆格现场服务的首要工具，帮助穆格的客户提高其维修能力。

The OSIS is now part of Moog's standard service offering in China, and Moog's distributors will take the lead in responding to OSIS requests. The OSIS truck will serve as Moog's primary tool for delivering on-site service and helping customers sharpen their maintenance skills.
